RETURN TO PLAY GUIDELINES

 

 

Participants will be required to stay at home if you are feeling sick or experiencing the following COVID-19 symptoms:

People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild

symptoms of severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the

virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:

  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fever of 100.3 degrees F/37.9 degrees C
  • Chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Sore throat
  • New loss of taste or smell

 

The following is a list of guidelines set in place by US Lacrosse and Weston Warrior Lacrosse Club:

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and equipment (including balls, mouthguards, sticks, water bottles, helmets, eyewear, pads, uniform).
  • No sharing of equipment, water bottles, towels.
  • Thoroughly wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
  • Have sanitizing options available, including, but not limited to hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes.
  • Temperature will be taken of each participant should be taken using an infrared thermometer. Anyone with a temperature of 100.3 degrees or more will be sent home and required to be evaluated by a licensed medical professional before being cleared to participate.
  • Participants to arrive dressed and ready to train.
  • Minimize the use of changing rooms, bathrooms, communal areas.
  • Eat off-site. Bring your own water bottle, visibly marked with participants' names.
  • Any tasks that can be done at home, should be done at home (recovery sessions, online meetings).
  • Insist of cover your mouth and nose with elbow or tissue when coughing or sneezing.
  • WWLC will follow the public health guidelines of the host location for the lacrosse activity when determining what necessary return to play and risk mitigation plan to follow.
  • Safety or hygiene coordinator as the point of contact for all COVID-19 information, education, and hygiene protocols. The coordinator will be Erica Judge
  • No sharing of equipment
  • The player distancing of 6 feet.
  • Attendance and temperature will be taken upon each participant arriving in the field. Parents can take players' temperature prior to arrival but will be required to sign a form stating temperature, with date and time. Recordkeeping will be kept up to date and accurate can be generated upon request.
  • There will be a staff to participant ratio of the 1:9-each participant will be put in pods; these players will stay in their pods, no changing between pods. If anyone in the pod tests positive for COVID-19 the entire pod will be required to self-isolate for 14 days can return to play after a negative COVID-19 is presented.
  • There will be a printed copy of US Lacrosse, NFHS, and Weston Warrior Lacrosse Club Return to Play Guidelines available and given upon request.
  • AFTER TRAINING: We ask that each player do the following immediately after each practice: Wash their hands, wipe down their faces, wipe down their equipment, and shower once home.
